New iPods!

Yes! I want a new one! I think I'm going to get new Mini/Nano to run with...

iPhone: Apple also chopped the price of its biggest and best-selling 8-gigabyte iPhone model from $599 to $399, barely two months after it started selling them. The smaller 4GB phone, which had sold for $399, will be discontinued.

Nano: The most noticeably different change is to the Nano. The new model is significantly smaller and thinner than previous versions. Nevertheless, it comes with a larger 2.5-inch screen that can display video and starts at $149 for a 4GB version.

iTouch: It was the new iPod Touch, however, that stole the show at an Apple media and analyst event here. Touch is almost identical to the iPhone, except it lacks cell phone capabilities. It does come with Wi-Fi wireless Internet capabilities, however, a Web browser and direct connections to a new Wi-Fi iTunes music store. Thanks to a partnership between Apple and the Starbucks coffee chain, the phone will let users automatically download songs that are playing at Starbucks stores within Wi-Fi range. The new iPod Touch will be available later this month and sell for $299 for the 8GB model and $399 for the 16GB model.

These people had a vision !

Take a look at the property located at the Southeast Corner of Star Island (even though in the image it is Northwest). Whatever it is, the property takes up the whole damn corner of the island. It was purchased in 1991 for a measly $2.1 million. The estimated value last year was appraised at $55 million ! I want a biography on this guy....a puff piece really, perhaps a list of his investments, real estate forecasts, the name of his son...or even his daughter?

Halle Barry Pregnant!

I don't know how comfortable I would be having my first child at 41, but I guess more and more people are waiting until later in their lives to have kids. I guess I just live in a different generation. My mom had me when she was 22, so she was still really young and active when I graduated high school... when Halle's kid is graduating, she'll be 60!

Halle Berry is expecting her first child. "Yes, I am three months pregnant," the Oscar winner told Access Hollywood on Tuesday. "Gabriel and I are beyond excited and I've waited a long time for this moment in my life." Berry, 41, and her boyfriend, 32-year-old model Gabriel Aubry, met shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles in November 2005 and first stepped out publicly three months later at the February opening of a Versace boutique in New York City.

Amelia Earhart: Part Two

Call me naive, I didn't think someone could get lost with a big white plane in the middle of the desert... I love how billionaire Richard Branson calls him a "tough old boot". I don't know why though.

Adventurer Steve Fossett, 63, seen here in 2005, took off on a flight in western Nevada Monday morning and didn't return as scheduled that night. He has broken several aviation and sailing records in his life. Relatives and admirers of millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett are hoping his grit and experience will serve him well as rescuers search for his small plane in rugged mountains, sagebrush-filled desert and steep ravines.

"Steve is a tough old boot. I suspect he is waiting by his plane right now for someone to pick him up," said Sir Richard Branson, the U.K. billionaire who has helped finance many of Fossett's adventures. "Based on his track record, I feel confident we'll get some good news soon."

Shaq Files For Divorce

I don't know why I always find divorces hard to believe. I thought they actually really loved each other... I mean, they have SIX kids.
Attorney Ira Elegant said the petition was filed on behalf of the Miami Heat center in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Tuesday. It was not immediately clear who is representing Shaunie O'Neal in the case.

Employee Accused of Poisoning Boss's Coffee...

An employee at an electronics manufacturing company in Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested last week after he allegedly tried to taint a morning cup of coffee with an industrial paint thinner, MyFoxMemphis.com reported.

Police told MyFoxMemphis.com that Tommy Chiu, a worker at Sharp Manufacturing, was having a difficult time at work and wanted revenge on his supervisor, Debra Rose.

Rose told police that she had placed the coffee on her desk and walked out of her office. When she returned after forgetting something, she saw Chiu holding a baster-like object over her coffee mug. The baster was believed to contain xylene, a substance found in paint thinner and airplane fuel.

The coffee was sent to a lab for analysis, Lt. Joe Scott told MyFoxMemphis.com. Chiu was charged with first-degree attempted murder.
