Another Reason To Be A Celebrity...

As if being celebrity and being able to go to NY Fashion Week (or any fashion week) wasn't enough, celebrities get paid to sit in the front row. According to Forbes, "Katie Holmes is a big deal now..." $50,000 bones to sit in the front row. Is that a joke? Katie Holmes gets more than Nicole Kidman... that's got to be a joke. When was Katie last seen in a movie... wait, she was only on Dawson's Creek.

Britney To Open VMAs...

I never really watch the VMAs when they come on... but I may just watch this one. Britney Spears is now the confirmed opening act of the VMAs performing her hit "Gimme Some" or gimme more or whatever. Maybe this is why she has been talking to weirdo Criss Angel...

I wanted to start the show in a very big and dramatic way, and she's the one to do that," VMA executive producer Jesse Ignjatovic tells mtv.com "She'll captivate everyone, and set the tone for rest of the night."

Spears consulted with illusionist Criss Angel on "some moments of the performance" for Sunday night's show at the Palms Hotel and Casino, says Ignjatovic, who also confirmed that she'll perform her single "Gimme More" from her upcoming album.

Common Latin Phrases We Pretend To Know...

Luckily, I knew all of these. hahah.. The accompanying article/explanation is really interesting. I really like the author's description of "quid pro quo" aka: the lubricant of the legal system. I just need to learn how to talk like that. Great....

Too Sexy To Get On A Plane...

You have to watch this video... her outfit is NOT THAT SEXY. I have seen everyone I know get on a plane with less than that.
Ok- I found a picture... not that bad. Someone please agree with me... Southwest also gave her a lecture on her "sexy" dressing. LAME

New Plastic Surgery Trend

Last year, plastic surgeons collected fees of $1.3 billion for Botox, $1 billion for nose jobs and $750 million for liposuction. But the number of nose jobs and liposuction procedures has decreased over the past five years. The fastest-growing procedures in plastic surgery aren't such mere tune-ups; rather, they're major operations in which surgeons literally cut
away pounds of flesh.

Each is intended to deal with the often unsightly and sometimes unhealthy aftereffects of gastric bypass surgery, a procedure in which part of the stomach is tied off to reduce the amount that patients eat. Patients can loose hundreds of pounds after the operation, but their skin remains stretched out, often becoming a lose and baggy apron. "It's like taking the air out of a balloon," says Berish Strauch, academic chair and professor of plastic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.

Valentino just announced he is retiring after starting the House of Valentino only 45 years ago. Fret not- some random from Gucci is set to be his replacement.
