For all of you who remember "pre-Whole Foods" days... there was Wild Oats. In fact, there is still a Wild Oats in Miami Beach... Anyways, a federal courts of appeals just cleared the way for Whole Foods to buy out Wild Oats for $565 Million Dollars.
Everyone else is playing catch up with Whole Foods at this point. I just saw the development of the first "Greenwise", which is Publix's attempt to compete. Greenwise is Publix's organic product line.
