After an Indian newspaper printed cute heartwarming photos of Ram Singh Munda and his pet sloth bear (the bear looks like it is smiling!), wildlife officials incarcerated him and took the bear. Munda found the abandoned cub last year and adopted and cared for it. Now Munda is in jail, Munda’s daughter was sent to boarding school, and the bear is locked in a zoo where he refuses to eat.
