Apple just annouced that the second generation iPhone will be twice as fast and basically half the price and half the size. The new specs: $199 for the 8 GB phone, $299 for the 16GB, 3G (much faster networking), GPS, thinner, black plastic back (also available in white), flush headphone jack, improved battery life. Plus: Lots of new applications (games, blogging, news) are now available at the Apps store. Set your calendars...the release date is July 11.
