Law Killed the Fast Food Restaurant

Kind of interesting. In two related articles today, it looks like law makers are taking a stance against fast food restaurants. Even if not successful, I think it brings an awareness on the subject that people need. The first link discusses a NY law that tried pushing a bill that would require fast food restaurants to post their caloric values, while the second link hails from LA and discusses a council woman's plan to stop fast food restaurants from opening in the LA area for two years.
Given the alarming and rising obesity rates, this seems to be a step in the right direction.
