I didn't even make up that headline... MSNBC wrote that - ergo, it MUST be true. Anyways, an ounce of gold that cost $680 in mid-August has surged close to $800 today. This is absolutely ridiculous - the price of gold is inflating faster than oil. Anyways, that chunky gold bracelet you should be getting is going to be replaced by a thin ass bangle. Great.Here is a perfect example of inflation. Remember that Tiffany's bracelet that everyone had in silver... the chunky silver one with the heart. Yeah, I thought so. Anyways, the bracelet also came in gold and I remember looking at it - just about 5 years ago. 5 years ago it was $900 - today, it is $1,850. Kill yourself. That's not hot.
